Tourism in Dubai will receive a boost from a range of projects recently commissioned under the supervision of Dubai Municipality, according to Eng. Hussain Nasser Lootah, director general, Dubai Municipality.

Lootah's comments came following a project review meeting with Hilal Al Marri, director general of the department of tourism and commerce, at headquarters of civic body in Deira.

"The municipality is committed to attracting tourist influxes to Dubai through innovative and advanced projects. Apart from strengthening Dubai to become globally acclaimed by facilitating comfortable life through various municipal activities, we are now up and running with such projects that may add much charm to the city," Lootah said.

During the meeting both reviewed ongoing projects such as Dubai Safari, Dubai Frame, Fish Market, Traditional Market and Maritime Museum.

"The efforts Dubai Municipality is rendering towards the development of the city is highly appreciable. These services-cum-tourist projects will have great impact on tourism in the emirate," said Hilal Al Marri.
