Antoine Berberi has joined The Boutique Search Firm as Senior Partner. After 4 years with Hilton International in Washington, D.C. and Toronto, he joined InterContinental for what would be an 11-year global career in such locations as New Orleans, Miami, Bali, Dubai & Abu Dhabi. He was an early joiner of the lifestyle boutique field, as General Manager of THOMPSON hotels in New York, Beverly Hills and Hollywood (Hollywood Roosevelt). When Thompson merged with Joie de Vivre Hospitality and subsequently Alila and Destinations Hotels & Resorts to create Two Roads Hospitality (now a subsidiary of Global Hyatt) he stayed on as Regional Vice President of Operations for the West Coast and Mexico. In early 2018, he was recruited by PROPER Hospitality as Senior Vice President of Operations.

The Radisson Hotel Group has named Jim Alderman Chief Executive Officer of The Americas, based in Minnetonka. Alderman most recently served as Executive Vice President for Extended Stay America. He had previously held various senior leadership positions with Kimpton Hotels, Wyndham, Starwood Capital, IHG and Ernst & Young.

IHG Americas has promoted Jay Caiafa to Chief Operating Officer, Americas. Caiafa has been with IHG since 2013, most recently serving as Senior Vice President, Hotel Lifecycle and Growth.

Ernest Glidden is now in Portland with Provenance Hotels as Chief Financial Officer. He was most recently with Caesar’s Entertainment in Las Vegas as Senior Vice President Operations-Finance. For several years, Glidden was the Senior Vice President, Finance, for Rosewood Hotels & Resorts.

The Hilton McLean Tysons Corner has appointed Scott Hamilton General Manager. Most recently, Hamilton served as Resident Manager at the Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki Beach Resort.

The Driskill in Austin has named Chris Collins General Manager. Most recently, Collins was the Regional Vice President of Hyatt Hotels in Orlando and the Director of Sales and Marketing of the Hyatt Regency Orlando.

Wymara Resort & Villas has named Jorge Collazo General Manager of Grace Bay Beach. For the past six months, he has served as Director of Sales and Marketing for the company, based in Miami. Collazo is the former Director of Sales and Marketing of the Silversands Grenada, The Betsy – South Beach, and the Condado Vanderbilt Hotel.

Aaron Whitten has been appointed General Manager of the soon-to-open Kimpton Armory Hotel Bozeman. He was most recently the Hotel Manager of the Kimpton Alexis Hotel-Seattle. Whitten is the former Director of Food and Beverage of the Kimpton Dewitt Hotel-Amsterdam.

Andrea Balladori has been appointed General Manager of the Curtain Bluff Resort and Barbuda Curtain Bluff, in Antigua. He was most recently the Executive Assistant Manager of the Gayana Marine Resort in Sabah.

Saba Rock has appointed Alain Prion Resort Manager. He was most recently with the Baldyga Group in Guam as Director of Food and Beverage.

IHG has promoted Brian Hicks to Senior Vice President, Commercial and Revenue Management, Americas. He was most recently serving the company as Vice President, Global Revenue Management Strategy.

Marc Taft has been appointed Vice President, Food and Beverage Operations, at Davidson Hotels & Resorts. He is the former Executive Chef/Owner of the Chicken and the Egg and President of Southern Fried Hospitality.

Ralph Aruzza has joined Provenance Hotels as Vice President Sales and Marketing. He was most recently with Hard Rock International in Miami and is the former Executive Vice President, Chief Sales and Marketing Officer at Belmond and Vice President of Sales of Rosewood Hotels and Resorts.

Blue Diamond Resorts has named Jürgen Stütz Senior Vice President, Sales, Marketing & Distribution. Most recently, Stütz was the Chief Commercial Officer at Decameron Hotels & Resorts.

The Conrad Fort Lauderdale Beach has appointed Brian David Douglas Spa Manager. He had previously owned his own spa, David Douglas Spa, for four years.

EUROPE

Guy Bertaud has been named Managing Director of Maisons Pariente in Paris. He was most recently overseeing the Shangri-La Paris. He is the former General Manager of the InterContinental Bordeaux – Le Grand Hotel. Bertaud also had been briefly the General Manager of the Hotel de Paris in Monaco.

Julien Bardet has taken over from Guy Bertaud as General Manager of the Shangri-La Paris. He was most recently the General Manager of the West Hollywood Edition. Bardet is the former Hotel Manager of the St. Regis Bal Harbour and Director of Sales and Marketing of the St. Regis New York.

ASIA AND THE PACIFIC

The Meliá Koh Samui has appointed Ernesto Osuna as General Manager. Osuna was previously Cluster General Manager for both the two Gran Melia Zhengzhou and INNSIDE Zhengzhou.

Matthias Al-Amiry has recently taken on the dual role of Regional Vice President Southeast Asia for Kempinski Hotels and General Manager of the Capitol Kempinski Hotel Singapore. He was most recently the Managing Director of the Hotel Adlon Kempinski Berlin.

Teddy Wiryawan has moved to the Alila Villas Koh Russey in Cambodia as General Manager. He was most recently in the same role at the Alila Jakarta.

Ken Wong has been appointed Vice President Sales and Distribution for Greater China at Accor Asia Pacific. Wong was most recently with the Shanghai Disneyland Resort as Vice President Commercial.

Wayne Brown has been appointed Culinary Director, Asia Pacific, at sbe in Singapore. He was most recently Head of Culinary Operations for the Singapore-based Gypsy Chef Inc. by David Myers.

MIDDLE EAST AND AFRICA

Kozhaya Tannous has been appointed Executive Assistant Manager at the Amwaj Rotana in Dubai. He is the former Director of Food and Beverage at the Towers Rotana, Dubai and the Media Rotana, Dubai.

Sherif El Mansoury has been named Director of Sales of the H Hotel Dubai. He was most recently in a similar capacity for the H Resort Seychelles after serving as Regional Director of Sales and Marketing at the Hakkasan Group.

Laurent Pommey has been named Executive Chef of the Andaz Dubai The Palm. He was most recently in the same role in Australia at the Crown Casino Melbourne.
